The tall building of developed India and developed Chhattisgarh will stand tall only with the help of youth power: Chief Minister Shri Sai
Chhattisgarh has been the holy place of Swami Vivekananda. Swami Vivekananda ji spent two years of his adolescence here in Day Bhawan. When someone comes to Raipur by air, seeing the airport named after Swami Vivekananda, he feels that this city must have been related to Swami Vivekananda. From there to the most picturesque place of the city, Vivekananda Sarovar, everywhere the respect of this city for Swami Vivekananda is visible. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said this while addressing the inaugural ceremony of the three-day State Youth Festival organized at Science College Ground on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda ji’s birth anniversary ‘National Youth Day’.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Swami Vivekanand ji has played a big role in the creation of modern India. The historical speech he gave at the World Religion Conference in Chicago in 1893 made the whole world bow down to Indian thought. Swami ji started his address with American brothers and sisters. This was in line with the Indian philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. At that time, American newspapers wrote that by listening to Swami ji, we came to know about the deep values of India’s Sanatan tradition, which we could not even imagine.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the strong building of developed India and developed Chhattisgarh will be built by the power of youth. Our youth are the future of our state. It is only due to the power and determination of youth that we are moving fast on the path of reconstruction of the state. The way the scam happened in recruitments during the previous government, the morale of our youth was completely broken. We had promised to investigate the PSC scam. We handed over its investigation to the CBI. CBI has taken effective action in this case. The confidence of the youth in the PSC examination has returned.
The Chief Minister said that this time the exams were conducted with complete transparency. When the results came, I called the toppers to felicitate them. There was satisfaction on their faces. They told me that they were all broken by the corruption in the PSC, the way the new government took strong action against corruption, their faith in the system returned. The youth can prepare for the exams in a better way only when they feel that there will be no malpractice in the exam. We have taken several measures to increase the transparency of the PSC. We are going to conduct the PSC exam on the pattern of UPSC. This will enable more and more youth of the state to be selected in central services.
The Chief Minister said that we have increased the number of seats in Delhi’s youth hostel from 50 to 185 so that the youth can clear the UPSC examination by getting better coaching here. We have released the annual calendar of Vyapam examinations. The examination will be held on time. Along with this, we are also taking action to fill the vacant posts in the departments at a fast pace. We have implemented the National Education Policy. This education will prepare the youth for new age employment.
Referring to the new industrial policy, the Chief Minister said that in the new industrial policy, we have taken full care that maximum number of local youths get employment. For this, we will provide special grant assistance to those industries which will employ 1 thousand or more local youths. There is a possibility of an investment of 2.5 lakh crores in the state in the next five years, which will create five lakh new employment opportunities.
The Chief Minister said that our youth are very talented. They have unique ideas. Startups have a huge potential in Chhattisgarh. We are encouraging this. We are creating coworking spaces where a youth who wants to start a startup can set up his setup at a very low cost. We are especially encouraging the IT sector. IT companies are rapidly starting their units in Nava Raipur. Soon Nava Raipur will be established as a new IT hub.
Referring to the Bastar Olympics, the Chief Minister said that 1 lakh 65 thousand talents from the Bastar division participated in it. Our illustrious Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi also praised this event in his Mann Ki Baat program. We are also committed to the development of sports in Chhattisgarh and for this we are rapidly building infrastructure and making solid arrangements for the training of players. He said that the Youth Festival is currently going on in Delhi and many of our young colleagues have been invited there too. The talent of the youth of the state is famous all over the country and the world. You should work with full enthusiasm. We are working hard to fulfill the dream of developed India-developed Chhattisgarh. With your participation, we will definitely achieve this goal.
Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, while presiding over the program, said that Swami Vivekananda Ji gave the youth an inspiring message to get up, wake up and do not stop until the goal is achieved. Swami Vivekananda gave a new identity to the youth in the country and the world. He said that due to youth power, Chhattisgarh will be one of the developed states of the country by the year 2047. Deputy Chief Ministers Shri Arun Saw and Shri Vijay Sharma, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Shri Tankaram Verma also addressed the festival. Food Minister Shri Dayaldas Baghel, MLAs Shri Rajesh Munat, Guru Khuswant Saheb, Chhattisgarh Youth Commission Chairman Shri Vishwavijay Singh Tomar and a large number of youth and common citizens from across the state were present in the function.
