Mock interviews at Abhyudaya coaching boost the confidence of UPSC aspirants
Lucknow : Under Mukhyamantri Abhyuday Yojana, mock interview sessions are being organized for UPSC 2024 aspirants, providing them with real interview experience and enhancing their confidence. Working administrative officers are mentoring candidates, equipping them with essential strategies to excel in the final stage of the examination. So far, mock interviews for 26 candidates have been conducted in three phases.
According to information from the Abhyudaya Secretariat, run by the Social Welfare Department, the first phase of the mock interviews took place on January 17 at Bhagidari Bhawan in Lucknow, where nine candidates participated. During this session, IAS Akhand Pratap Singh, IAS Sunil Kumar Verma, and IAS Mannan Akhtar guided the aspirants on the interview process and answering techniques.
The second phase was conducted on January 28 at the Abhyudaya Center in Noida, where another nine candidates participated. This event was successfully organized with the special efforts of the Director of the Social Welfare Department, DSWO Satish Kumar (Noida), and DSWO Ved Ji (Ghaziabad). IAS Pooja Gupta, IAS Abhinav Gopal, and IAS Sanjay Khatri provided intensive guidance to the candidates in this session.
The third phase was again held at Bhagidari Bhawan in Lucknow, where eight candidates participated. During this session, IAS Deepa Ranjan, IAS Mannan Akhtar, IAS Atul Sharma, and IAS Gunjita Agarwal shared valuable insights on interview strategies and confidence-building techniques.

This scheme is a golden opportunity for the financially weak, but talented students. With guidance from experienced administrative officers, candidates learn the nuances of the interview process and gain confidence. Our goal is to ensure that every talented student receives proper mentorship and gets the opportunity to achieve their dreams.”
Launched by CM Yogi Adityanath on February 16, 2021, on the occasion of Basant Panchami, the Mukhyamantri Abhyuday Yojana aims to empower students from underprivileged backgrounds by integrating them into the mainstream. Since its inception, the initiative has gained immense popularity among aspirants of competitive exams.
This visionary scheme provides free coaching, high-quality education, and essential resources for students preparing for tough exams like UPSC, PCS, JEE, and NEET. The initiative has been instrumental in shaping the careers of thousands of students across the state.
Currently, the UP government is successfully running this scheme in 75 districts of the state, with 156 centres in operation. The program is being implemented under strict government supervision, with a dedicated Abhyudaya Secretariat in Lucknow monitoring all centres daily. Lucknow alone has 11 centres, while Kaushambi has six, Gorakhpur five, and Varanasi and Bahraich have four each.
