CM Vishnu Deo Sai Unveils Annual Calendar of the Cooperative Department

A Significant Step Towards “Prosperity Through Cooperation”

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today unveiled the annual calendar of the Cooperative Department at the state secretariat. The event was attended by Deputy Chief Ministers Shri Arun Saw and Shri Vijay Sharma, Cooperative Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, along with all cabinet ministers.

Congratulating the officials of the Cooperative Department, CM Sai stated that the calendar, based on the motto “Prosperity Through Cooperation,” symbolizes the state’s innovations and achievements in the cooperative sector. He emphasized that the participation of cooperatives in welfare schemes will drive Chhattisgarh towards new dimensions of prosperity and development.

International Recognition for Cooperatives

CM Sai highlighted that the United Nations has declared 2025 as the “International Year of Cooperatives.” In this context, the Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India, has launched the “Prosperity Through Cooperation” campaign, under which various activities are being organized across Chhattisgarh.

Key Initiatives Featured in the Annual Calendar

The annual calendar of the Cooperative Department showcases various activities conducted at the village, district, and state levels. These initiatives include:

  • Expansion of paddy procurement and storage processes
  • Establishment of Prime Minister Jan Aushadhi Stores and Common Service Centers
  • Construction of new warehouses for large-scale global grain storage
  • Distribution of ATM cards to farmers and provision of payment facilities through micro-ATMs in Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS)
  • Registration and strengthening of new PACS societies, dairy, and fisheries cooperative societies

With the launch of this calendar, the state government has taken another firm step toward cooperative-based economic development in Chhattisgarh. CM Sai expressed confidence that this initiative will make the cooperative system more efficient, transparent, and beneficial.

The event was also attended by Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain, Additional Chief Secretary Shri Subrat Sahu, Cooperative Secretary Dr. C.R. Prasanna, Cooperative Commissioner and Registrar Shri Kuldeep Sharma, Additional Cooperative Commissioner and Managing Director of Apex Bank Shri L. Kande, along with other senior officials of the department. Additionally, Assistant Registrar Shri Manish Khobragade, Apex Bank Manager Shri Abhishek Tiwari, Accounts Officer Shri Prabhakar Kant Yadav, and several other dignitaries from the department were present at the occasion.
