May Former Union Minister Kapil Patil Continue Serving Society – CM Devendra Fadnavis
Thane : “I pray to God that former Union Minister Kapil Patil continues to serve society with the same dedication,” said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today.
He was speaking at the final match of the ‘Union Minister Panchayati Raj Cup 2025’, organized in Mankoli, Bhiwandi taluka, on the occasion of Kapil Patil’s birthday.
The event witnessed a massive gathering, including former Union Minister Kapil Patil, MLAs Niranjan Davkhare and Sulabha Gaikwad, District Collector Ashok Shingare, organizer Pratap Patil, various cricket teams, players, and spectators.
CM Fadnavis expressed his happiness at being associated with this tournament every year. He mentioned that, despite his desire to attend this year’s event as Chief Minister, it was uncertain due to the ongoing legislative session. He praised the grandeur of the event, highlighting the prizes, which included 51 bikes and 2 electric cars, and called it one of the biggest celebrations in Thane district in honor of Kapil Patil’s birthday. Players from across the country participated in the tournament.
He further remarked that Kapil Patil has a natural tendency to think big and execute grand initiatives, ensuring that nothing remains small-scale. “Magnificence is his hallmark,” he added.
Referring to Kapil Patil’s statement about being a ‘former’ minister, Fadnavis assured that one is never truly a ‘former’ leader as long as they remain in people’s hearts. Elections come and go, but true leadership is about staying connected with the people, he said.
Extending his birthday wishes to Kapil Patil, CM Fadnavis concluded, “I pray that he continues his dedicated service to society.”
