Senior Congress Leaders pledge to remain united in the wake of adversity.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition Mr. Rahul have spoken to Home Minister Amit Shah, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah urging strong response to Pahalgam terror attack on late Tuesday night emphasising the need for a firm and appropriate response to this cross-border terror attack. On his social media handle X, Kharge also urged the government to engage with all political parties regarding the incident and also take all efforts to ensure the safety of tourists in J&K.

“Late last night, spoke with Union Home Minister, Shri @AmitShah, J&K Chief Minister, Shri @OmarAbdullah, along with senior Congress leaders of @INCJammuKashmir about the despicable carnage in Pahalgam” Kharge said. He asserted that those behind the heinous terror attack must not go unpunished and innocent victims must get justice. “Unity in action, in the wake of adversity is the need of the hour. This cross-border terror attack should be responded with adequate and resolute reply. GOI must talk to all political parties to ensure security in Jammu and Kashmir and make every possible effort to ensure the safety of tourists in the state“, he added.

Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition Mr. Rahul Gandhi also spoke to Amit Shah and Omar Abdullah and J&K PCC chief Tariq Karra about the gruesome attack. In a post on X, Gandhi said, “Spoke with HM Amit Shah, J&K CM Omar Abdullah, and J&K PCC President Tariq Karra about the horrific Pahalgam terror attack. Received an update on the situation. The families of victims deserve justice and our fullest support”, Rahul Gandhi added.
