Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai Congratulates and Sends Best Wishes

Raipur : Shrimant Jha has once again brought pride to the nation and his home state of Chhattisgarh. A resident of Bhilai, Shrimant Jha is currently ranked World No. 3 and Asia’s No. 1 in Para-Arm Wrestling. He won the silver medal in the above 85 kg category at the Asian Para-Arm Wrestling Championship 2025 held recently in New Delhi, raising the Indian flag high on the international stage.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai congratulated Shrimant Jha on this remarkable achievement. He praised Jha as a talented para-athlete who has overcome great challenges to attain international success. “Shrimant Jha’s accomplishment is an inspiration for the youth and a matter of pride for the state. I wish him a bright future ahead,” said the Chief Minister.

Shrimant Jha dedicated his victory to the martyrs of India, saying, “This win is special for me. I play every match in memory of our martyrs. My goal now is to make India proud again in the upcoming international tournaments.”

Born with only four fingers across both hands, Jha has defied all odds to win more than 55 international medals to date. In the 2025 Para-Arm Wrestling Championship, he holds the No. 3 world ranking and is ranked No. 1 in Asia.

On his outstanding success, Preeti Jhingiani, President of the People’s Arm Wrestling Federation of India, along with Suresh Babe, President of Chhattisgarh Arm Wrestling Association, Chairman Brij Mohan Singh, Secretary Shrikant, and Krishna Sahu also extended their congratulations and best wishes to Shrimant Jha.
