MoU Signed with Blackstone Group in Presence of CM Devendra Fadnavis
₹5,127 Crore FDI in Maharashtra; 27,510 Employment Opportunities
Mumbai : A significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today between the Government of Maharashtra and Blackstone Group’s XSIIO Logistics Parks and Horizon Industrial Parks, in the esteemed presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
The agreement was formalized at Sahyadri State Guest House, with signatures from Dr. P. Anbalagan, Principal Secretary of Industries, and R.K. Narayanan, President of Horizon Industrial Parks. Present on the occasion were Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Principal Secretary to the CM Ashwini Bhide, MIDC CEO P. Velarasu, Deputy Secretary Laxmikant Dhoke, Blackstone Advisors Pvt. Ltd. Senior MD Tuhin Parikh, Managing Director Alok Jain, and XSIIO Logistics Parks MD Ashish Agrawal, among others.
This MoU aims to develop modern logistics and industrial parks in key industrial and multimodal logistics zones across Maharashtra.
Under this agreement, over 10 advanced industrial and logistics parks will be established across the state, covering 794.2 acres of land, with construction planned over 18.5 million sq. ft. The total foreign direct investment (FDI) committed for these projects stands at ₹5,127 crore. The projects are expected to generate 27,510 direct and indirect employment opportunities.
These parks will be developed at strategic locations such as Nagpur, Bhiwandi, Chakan, Sinnar, and Panvel. The projects will be environment-friendly, digitally integrated, and aligned with Maharashtra’s Logistics Policy 2024, aimed at promoting sustainable development and job creation.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed confidence that this transformational partnership would pave the way for world-class industrial and logistics hubs in Nagpur, Mumbai, Pune, and other locations. He noted that the infrastructure created under this MoU would significantly boost India’s excellence in manufacturing, warehousing, and supply chain logistics.
