Power & Electricity Department — Consumer Awareness and Service Improvement Report

Aizawl : The Power & Electricity Department wishes to inform the public about consumer awareness and service improvements implemented recently:

Due to increasing power demand and distribution challenges across Mizoram, the Power & Electricity Department has taken various steps to enhance supply reliability. The department continues to monitor the distribution and transmission systems closely and strives to repair faults quickly. However, due to ongoing infrastructure constraints, complete resolution of all issues is not always immediately possible. Maintenance and upgrades to power networks are being conducted to improve service quality.

The power supply is regulated carefully, especially in high-demand areas, with frequent inspection of electric lines, transformers (both power transformers and distribution transformers), and related equipment to ensure stable power distribution. New installations and network expansions have been carried out at various locations to meet growing demand.

The department commits to providing accurate, timely information to consumers and urges the public to report faults promptly for swift action. Continuous efforts are underway to improve power availability and reduce outages.

Below is a summary of the current status of the power network across different districts:
