Public Participation in Water Conservation Discussed at Vande Ganga Night Chaupal
Citizens Pledged to Conserve Water – Grievances Addressed On the Spot – Voluntary Labor and Plantation Drives Organized at Water Structures
Jaipur : Following the directives of Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, various activities are being organized across Jaipur district under the Vande Ganga Water Conservation Campaign. As part of the campaign, Vande Ganga Night Chaupal programs were conducted on Wednesday in several villages including Kalak in Jobner, Barodiya in Chaksu, Jhadla in Madhorajpura, Kushalpura in Chomu, Mamtori in Shahpura, Havaspura in Sambhar Lake, Rahori in Jamwaramgarh, Mandabhim Singh in Kishangarh Renwal, Padasoli in Dudu, Jharna in Mojmabad, Maindwas in Phagi, Maheshwas Kalan in Rampura Dabri, and Devaliya in Sanganer.
During the night chaupals, officials listened to the grievances of villagers and resolved several issues on the spot, especially those related to drinking water. For remaining issues, officials were instructed to ensure timely and effective resolution.
The events saw participation from local public representatives and a large number of residents. Citizens were educated on different water conservation methods and were encouraged to take a pledge for water preservation.
In Phagi’s Maindwas village, the Sankan Pond project was inaugurated in the presence of local leaders and villagers. In Kasya village’s pond area, a mass community effort took place, with people contributing voluntary labor (shramdaan) and participating in plantation drives. Officials also reviewed 28 completed projects under Phase 1 of the Mukhyamantri Jal Swavlamban Yojana 2.0.
Meanwhile, under the campaign, large-scale community efforts were undertaken at various water structures in places such as Chechiyon Ki Dhani in Basana, Sindouli and Devgawa in Bassi Block, Mahadevpura, Barodiya, and Jhapat Kalan in Kotkhavda, Harsuliya and Thala in Madhorajpura, Khoramina in Amer, Maheshwas Kalan in Jalsu, Morada in Dudu, and Devla in Mojmabad. A large number of officials, employees, public representatives, and villagers participated.
Distinguished guests were also briefed on the works completed under Mukhyamantri Jal Swavlamban Yojana 2.0 – Phase 1, and detailed information was shared about various projects including farm ponds and sankan ponds.
