Full Support from Maharashtra Government for the Grand Celebration of Shahidi Centenary and Guru-ta-Gaddi Events – CM Devendra Fadnavis
State-level committee meeting held for organizing the commemorative events
Mumbai : The 350th Shahidi (martyrdom) anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji and the 350th Guru-ta-Gaddi (spiritual succession) celebration of Guru Gobind Singh Ji will be organized in three major cities of Maharashtra — Nanded, Nagpur, and Mumbai. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis assured that the state government will extend full support to ensure the successful organization of these grand events. He also expressed confidence that the legacy and teachings of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji and Guru Gobind Singh Ji would reach the younger generation through these commemorations.
A meeting of the State-level Committee for organizing the Guru Tegh Bahadur 350th Shahidi Samagam and Guru Gobind Singh’s Guru-ta-Gaddi celebration was held at the Varsha residence in Mumbai. The meeting was attended by committee advisor Saint Gyani Harnam Singh Ji Khalsa, religious leaders Saint Babu Singh Maharaj, Saint Raghumuni Maharaj, Gopal Chaitanya Maharaj, and Sharad Dhole.
Chief Minister Fadnavis stated that during times of oppression and exploitation, Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji sacrificed himself for the protection of society, especially against the atrocities of Aurangzeb’s tyrannical rule. It is crucial for the younger generation to learn about this part of history. He emphasized that the goal of the event is not only to remember the past but also to make today’s generation aware of their responsibilities toward society and the nation.
CM Fadnavis further said that this celebration will serve as a platform for unity, as people from different communities will come together. It is an opportunity to strengthen the nation through solidarity and to pass on the rich historical and cultural heritage to future generations.

- Nagpur: December 6, 2025
- Navi Mumbai: December 21 and 22, 2025
At the beginning of the meeting, spiritual leaders including Saint Babu Singh Ji Maharaj, Saint Gyani Harnam Singh Ji Khalsa, and Sharad Rao Dhole shared their insights.
