Groundbreaking Ceremony of 50-Bed Sub-District Hospital at Dharangaon Performed by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis
Jalgaon : The 30-bed Rural Hospital at Dharangaon is being upgraded to a Sub-District Hospital, which will be expanded to a modern 50-bed healthcare facility. The foundation stone for the construction of the hospital’s main building and the medical officer’s residence was laid by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
On this occasion, Union Minister of State for Sports Rakshatai Khadse, Guardian Minister Gulabrao Patil, Water Resources Minister Girish Mahajan, Member of Parliament Smita Wagh, MLAs Suresh Bhole, Mangesh Chavan, Prof. Chandrakant Sonawane, District Collector Ayush Prasad, CEO of the District Council Meenal Karnawal, District Civil Surgeon Dr. Kiran Patil, and several other officials were present.
The sub-district hospital and trauma care centre will be constructed on a 2-hectare site adjacent to Dharangaon city. The state government has granted administrative approval for funding of ₹39.46 crore for this project.
With this upgrade, healthcare facilities in the Dharangaon Taluka will be significantly strengthened. New positions for various medical officers will be created, and specialists in surgery, gynecology and obstetrics, pediatrics, and anesthesia will be appointed. As a result, advanced medical services will become accessible to needy and critically ill patients in the region.
