CM Fadnavis Inaugurates Integrated Command Center and ‘Harit Wari’ App; Lays Foundation Stone for Ahilyadevi Holkar Cultural Complex
Pandharpur – Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated the Integrated Command and Control Center and launched the ‘Harit Wari’ mobile application, both set up by the Solapur Rural Police to manage the Ashadhi Wari pilgrimage. The inauguration took place near the city police station in Pandharpur. CM Fadnavis also laid the foundation stone for the Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Cultural Complex at Swatantryaveer Savarkar Chowk.

Present at the event were Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister and District Guardian Minister Jaykumar Gore, Minister of State for Home Dr. Pankaj Bhoyar, MP Dhairyasheel Mohite Patil, MLAs Gopichand Padalkar, Samadhan Avatade, Dr. Babasaheb Deshmukh, Abhijit Patil, and Sachin Kalyanshetti, Divisional Commissioner of Pune Dr. Chandrakant Pulkundwar, IG of Kolhapur Range Sunil Fulari, District Collector Kumar Ashirwad, and SP of Solapur Rural Atul Kulkarni, along with Vice-Chairperson of the Devasthan Committee Gahininath Maharaj Osekar.
Integrated Command Center for Ashadhi Wari Pilgrimage
The newly established command center will monitor crowd movements 24/7 using drone and CCTV surveillance across key locations including the Wari route, riverbanks, Vakari Palkhi base, 65-acre grounds, Patra Shed, pradakshina path, and temple surroundings. According to SP Atul Kulkarni, real-time alerts on the control room’s screens help the police respond swiftly to incidents, ensuring better crowd management.
Analysis of surveillance data from the center estimates that around 1.4 million pilgrims had arrived in Pandharpur by the day of the event.
Launch of ‘Harit Wari’ App under Community Policing
As part of its ‘Harit Wari’ (Green Pilgrimage) initiative, the Solapur Rural Police also launched a new app developed for tree plantation management. Over 1.5 lakh trees are planned to be planted across the district. Each tree will have a unique QR code, allowing users to access information about the tree species, geo-location, and current condition.
Officers have been trained to use the app, which is built on blockchain technology to ensure transparency, authenticity, and digital tracking of the afforestation efforts.
Devsthan Receives Electric Vehicle
On the occasion, Maharashtra State Cooperative Bank gifted an electric vehicle to the Vitthal Rukmini Devasthan Committee to facilitate pilgrim services. Present during this handover were the bank’s Board President Vidhyadhar Anaskar and Chief General Manager Dr. Ashok Mane, among others.
Foundation Stone for Ahilyadevi Holkar Cultural Complex
Chief Minister Fadnavis also laid the foundation stone for the Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Cultural Complex at Swatantryaveer Savarkar Chowk in Pandharpur. The event was attended by Guardian Minister Jaykumar Gore, MLAs Samadhan Avatade, Abhijit Patil, Gopichand Padalkar, Sachin Kalshetty, Dr. Babasaheb Deshmukh, former MLA Prashant Paricharak, and Municipal Chief Officer Mahesh Rokde, among others.
