Education is the Foundation of Success in Life: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai

Chhattisgarh Makes Great Strides in Education, Emphasizes Learning in Local Languages under New Education Policy

Raipur : Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai emphasized that education is the strongest foundation for success in life, while addressing the PSY Excellence Awards Ceremony held at Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in Raipur. He honored meritorious students and outstanding schools across various disciplines, stating that education is not just about earning degrees but about serving society and the nation.

“Life is incomplete without education, and it is the bedrock of a nation’s progress,” the Chief Minister said. “No matter the field, education is the essential key to achieving success.”

Reflecting on Chhattisgarh’s journey, CM Sai noted that the state, now celebrating its Silver Jubilee year, has made remarkable progress in education. “From just one medical college earlier, the state now boasts over 15 medical institutions, alongside premier institutes like IIT, NIT, IIM, and AIIMS,” he said. Schools have been established in remote villages, and colleges are being set up to meet the needs of local students.

Recalling his own schooling experience, CM Sai mentioned that in his childhood, he had to go to another village to appear for his Class 5 board exams due to the absence of an exam center in his own village. “Today, students in Chhattisgarh have limitless opportunities. Every child must seize these opportunities and strive towards their goals,” he added.

The Chief Minister praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, stating that the nation is steadily moving towards the goal of a “Developed India,” and Chhattisgarh is also making fast progress in that direction. “In the last 11 years, India has earned global respect and is on the path to becoming a world leader once again,” he said.

He further highlighted the effective ground-level implementation of the New Education Policy (NEP) in Chhattisgarh, noting that the state is now offering education in local languages, including in remote regions like Bastar, and even medical education is now being taught in Hindi.

Raipur MP Brijmohan Agrawal congratulated the award-winning students and said that their contribution will be vital in transforming India into a developed nation by 2047. “Youth will play a decisive role in re-establishing India as a global leader,” he stated.

MLA Dharamlal Kaushik addressed the event and said the objective of the institution is not only to honor brilliant students but also to provide a platform to talents across various fields. He praised the positive changes taking place in the education sector under the new policy, especially the focus on multilingual proficiency.

On this occasion, CM Sai also honored artists who had excelled in various disciplines. Renowned painter Raj Saini gifted the Chief Minister a painting featuring him alongside Prime Minister Narendra Modi and former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

The event was attended by PSY President Dr. S.K. Mishra, Advisor Mahendra Gupta, CEO Shubhra Shukla, prominent citizens, educators, dignitaries, and school students.
