Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami Attends the 50th Nirvana Day Program at Shri Brahm Nivas Ashram, Bhupatwala

Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami, on Monday, participated in the program organized on the occasion of the 50th Nirvana Day at Shri Brahm Nivas Ashram, Saptasarovar Road, Bhupatwala.

The Chief Minister said that revered Satguru Lal Das Maharaj prioritized spirituality in his life and inspired people to follow the path of service, truth, and devotion. He spread the essence of devotion to the masses. His words carried immense power, and his vision reflected the boundless compassion akin to Lord Buddha. Satguru Lal Das Maharaj worked tirelessly to unify society, consistently teaching that service is the highest form of religion.

CM Dhami highlighted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Sanatan (eternal) culture is being promoted globally, and the world is getting acquainted with India’s ancient heritage and philosophy. Guided by the Prime Minister, the state government is continuously working towards preserving and promoting the cultural legacy of Devbhoomi (Land of the Gods). He mentioned that the construction of the Rishikesh-Haridwar Corridor has also been proposed. Upon its completion, the religious city of Haridwar will attain a grand appearance, similar to Kashi and Ayodhya.

The Chief Minister reiterated the state government’s unwavering commitment to protecting Uttarakhand’s cultural values and demographic structure. He stated that stringent actions have been taken against malicious ideologies, including the implementation of a strict anti-conversion law. Additionally, Uttarakhand is the first state to enact the Uniform Civil Code to ensure equal rights and justice for all.

CM Dhami also mentioned that “Operation Kalnemi” is being carried out against those who disguise themselves under the pretense of Sanatan Dharma to deceive the public. Through this operation, action is being taken against imposters and non-believers who malign the Hindu religion by adopting false appearances.

He announced that students in schools will be educated about the teachings of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita. Furthermore, a Center for Hindu Studies has been established at Doon University to promote in-depth understanding of Hindu philosophy.

The event was graced by Mahant Lalitanand Giri Maharaj, Punjab Assembly Deputy Speaker Jai Krishna Singh, Haryana State Minister Rajesh Nagar, local MLA Madan Kaushik, Roorkee Mayor Anita Devi, State Minister Shobharam Prajapati, District Magistrate Mayur Dixit, Senior Superintendent of Police Pramendra Singh Dobal, HRDA Vice Chairman Anshul Singh, and other dignitaries.
