Masonry Training Underway in Temri Village of Nawagarh Block

Raipur, Aug 2025 : In a significant initiative aimed at making rural youth self-reliant, a masonry training program is being conducted in Temri village, located in Nawagarh Block of Bemetara district, from July 15 to August 13, 2025. This training is being organized through SBI RSETI Bemetara (Rural Self-Employment Training Institute). Under this program, participants are being imparted professional masonry skills along with banking knowledge and entrepreneurship development insights, enabling them to move towards self-employment in the future.

Establishment of RSETI in the District

Following the formation of the new district, SBI RSETI Bemetara has been established this financial year under the initiative of the Ministry of Rural Development. Currently, the institute is temporarily operating from the Livelihood College campus at Chorbhatti village on Simga Road. Here, unemployed youth aged between 18 to 45 years are provided free residential training.

Training Available in Over 70 Trades

RSETI offers training in approximately 70 different trades, including beauty parlour management, tailoring (for both men and women), mobile and motorcycle repairing, AC and refrigerator servicing, CCTV camera installation, incense stick and candle making, pickle and papad production, fish farming, goat rearing, beekeeping, mushroom cultivation, and more. The primary objective of the institute is to equip youth with technical skills, motivate them towards self-employment, and integrate them with the banking system to achieve self-reliance.

Skilled Masons to Support PM Housing Scheme

Through this training program, conducted in collaboration with the District Panchayat, village youth are gaining practical knowledge of construction work. In the future, they will be able to contribute as skilled masons in crucial programs like the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. This initiative is proving to be a significant step towards self-sufficiency with dignity and self-respect.

Not only is this program enhancing technical expertise among rural youth, but it is also playing a crucial role in economically empowering villages and fostering self-reliance at the grassroots level.
