Jaipur Collector Vows 100% Implementation of Tourism MoUs from Rising Rajasthan

Jaipur, Aug 2025 – Jaipur District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni assured investors that the district administration is fully committed, with complete dedication and transparency, to ensuring 100% implementation of all tourism sector MoUs signed under the Rising Rajasthan initiative.

Speaking at a programme held at Hotel Gangaur on Monday, Dr. Soni held one-on-one interactions with investors to understand their needs and challenges in detail. He discussed issues hindering MoU implementation and instructed relevant department officials to provide timely and effective solutions.

Dr. Soni pledged that every investment will be brought to the ground without delay and that all concerned departments have been given clear instructions for swift and efficient resolution of both minor and major issues. He stressed that successful execution of tourism projects will not only enhance the district’s brand value but also give Jaipur a stronger position on the state and national tourism map. The administration will conduct regular follow-ups and ensure inter-departmental coordination so that no investment remains stuck on paper.

Highlighting Jaipur’s vast tourism potential — from luxury hotels and resorts to eco-tourism, film shooting locations, adventure tourism, desert tourism, and experiential products linked to handicrafts — he noted that such investments would boost local job creation, extend tourist stays, increase spending, and significantly grow the local economy.

Dr. Soni emphasized Jaipur’s global standing, thanks to its unique architecture, historic forts, palaces, havelis, museums, and cultural heritage, including iconic sites like Amer Fort, City Palace, Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, and traditional street art. He said that investment in tourism is not only economically beneficial but also an opportunity to preserve cultural heritage and elevate Jaipur’s international profile.

Tourism Department Deputy Director Upendra Singh Shekhawat informed that under the joint efforts of the district administration and tourism department, 11 major MoUs worth ₹1,600 crore have already been successfully implemented.

Under Rising Rajasthan, Jaipur signed a total of 332 MoUs worth ₹69,133 crore in the tourism sector, expected to generate over 80,000 direct jobs. These include 169 hotel MoUs worth ₹25,222 crore, 90 resort MoUs worth ₹16,371 crore, 21 adventure tourism MoUs worth ₹1,373 crore, 8 eco-tourism MoUs worth ₹166 crore, 8 film city and shooting MoUs worth ₹3,570 crore, and 39 MoUs worth ₹19,409 crore in other related sectors.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Collector (First) Vinita Singh, officials from Jaipur Development Authority, Jaipur Greater Municipal Corporation, Jaipur Heritage Municipal Corporation, the Forest Department, and other relevant agencies, along with investors.
