1,582 Patients in Nagpur Division Receive ₹13.81 Crore Assistance from Chief Minister’s Relief Fund
Mumbai, Aug 2025 : The Chief Minister’s Relief Fund Cell has become a major support system for economically weaker and poor patients in the state. In the past seven months, as many as 1,582 patients in the Nagpur Division have received medical assistance worth ₹13,81,20,000 from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund Cell.
Following the suggestion of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, a paperless and digital system, along with district-level cells, has been established so that patients no longer need to visit Mantralaya. Patients are advised to first avail benefits under the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, the National Child Health Program, or charitable hospital schemes. If treatment is not possible through these schemes, an application can be made through a hospital linked to the Chief Minister’s Medical Relief Fund Cell. This ensures optimal use of government schemes and that funds reach genuinely needy patients.
The implementation of the paperless system, district cells, and other positive changes across the state has ensured timely assistance to needy patients. Under the guidance of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, the Cell’s operations are being conducted transparently, ensuring that funds reach those who truly need them. Assistance will continue to be extended to as many needy patients as possible, said Rameshwar Naik, head of the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund and Charitable Hospital Aid Cell.
