Ganesh Idol Exhibition and Sale at ‘Marhati’ Maharashtra Emporium, Delhi from August 16
New Delhi, Aug 2025 – The annual Ganesh idol exhibition and sale at the Delhi-based ‘Marhati’ Maharashtra Emporium of the Maharashtra Small Scale Industries Development Corporation will begin this year on August 16 and continue until August 27, 2025.
For the past 30 years, this exhibition has been organized to promote the artistry of idol makers from Maharashtra, provide them with a market in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR), and make high-quality Ganesh idols easily available to Marathi and non-Marathi devotees in Delhi. In Delhi and the NCR, Ganeshotsav is celebrated in more than 30 Ganesh mandals, as well as in numerous Marathi households.
This year, the emporium will showcase 1,000 eco-friendly ‘shadu’ clay Ganesh idols ranging in height from 6 inches to 3 feet. Prices will vary from ₹600 to ₹30,000. Various decorative materials for adorning Ganesh idols will also be available. Notably, many prominent individuals and entrepreneurs, including Nanda Escorts and Tribhovandas Zaveri, purchase their idols from this exhibition every year. Mandar Suryakant Shinde, an idol maker from Thane, has been displaying and selling his Ganesh idols here for several years.
The exhibition and sale at ‘Marhati’ Maharashtra Emporium on Baba Kharak Singh Marg will remain open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. until Ganesh Chaturthi on August 27, 2025. For more information, contact the Corporation at 011-23363366.
