A Budget that Empowers the Aspirations of Youth – Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha

Mumbai : Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, presented the budget today. This budget is aimed at steering the country towards the goal of becoming a developed nation. It focuses on empowering youth, women, farmers, and the underprivileged. Skills Development Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha has praised the budget for its emphasis on skill development and employment, which he believes will strengthen the aspirations of the youth.

Minister Lodha stated, “The central government has made significant provisions for employment generation and skill development. Under the ‘Employment Related Incentives’ scheme, part of the Prime Minister’s Package, the government has allocated two lakh crores over five years. This initiative aims to provide employment, skills, and other opportunities to over four crore youth. This budget is designed for the development of all sections of India, with a particular focus on the younger generation. I extend my gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for this ambitious budget.”

He continued, “The budget includes plans to provide skill training to 20 lakh youth across the country. Strengthening skill training institutions and introducing new skill courses are key components of this effort. Maharashtra is preparing to train lakhs of youth by establishing Acharya Chanakya Skill Development Centres. Over the next five years, one crore youth will receive skill training in reputable companies, with internship allowances of Rs. 5000 per month and lump-sum assistance of Rs. 6000. Additionally, Maharashtra will offer education, training, and employment opportunities through the Chief Minister Youth Training Program. Students will also be eligible for education loans of up to Rs. 10 lakh for higher education within the country. Approximately 25,000 youth will receive loans of up to Rs. 7.5 lakh for skill development education through the Model Skill Loan scheme. The combined efforts of the central and state governments will provide substantial benefits to Maharashtra’s youth!”
