District Collector Directs Field Visit — Administrative Officers Inspect Rain-Affected Areas in Jaipur
Jaipur, Aug 2025 :Due to continuous rainfall, several parts of the city have been severely affected. On the instructions of District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni, teams of administrative officers visited rain-affected areas on Saturday to assess the situation. During the inspection, officials reviewed the condition of dilapidated buildings, waterlogging, and other damages caused by heavy rains. They also interacted with local residents to understand their problems.
District Collector Dr. Soni himself visited the low-lying, waterlogged areas, took stock of the situation, and interacted with citizens. He directed concerned departments to provide immediate relief. Considering the forecast of continued rainfall, he appealed to residents living in flood-prone areas to remain alert and to immediately contact the nearest control room if required.
Dr. Soni instructed officials to strengthen the drainage system, deploy mud pumps where necessary for water removal, and temporarily relocate residents of weak and dilapidated buildings to safer locations. He also directed precautionary measures such as placing sandbags and implementing steps to prevent further waterlogging in high-risk areas.
Meanwhile, all Sub-Divisional Officers and other administrative officials inspected low-lying localities, vulnerable buildings, and flood-affected settlements. The administration has instructed municipal bodies, PHED, PWD, and disaster management teams to maintain close coordination, ensure round-the-clock monitoring, and take immediate action in case of emergencies so that citizens face minimum inconvenience.
