Sports Minister Distributes Equipment to Schools in His Constituency

Aizawl, Aug 2025 : Pu Lalnghinglova Hmar, Minister of State for Sports & Youth Affairs and MLA of Aizawl West-II Constituency, distributed computer sets and colour printers to several schools in his constituency. He also announced that students of government primary schools in Aizawl West-II will be provided with school uniforms in the upcoming academic session.

Earlier in May this year, the MLA had visited government schools in his constituency and, after assessing their needs, assured to extend necessary support. Fulfilling this commitment, computers and printers were handed over today to schools that had expressed such requirements.

Emphasizing the importance of education, the Minister stated that he would continue to regularly visit schools in his constituency and provide assistance wherever needed. Along with uniforms for students, he highlighted ongoing efforts for infrastructure development in schools, such as the establishment of a Skills Lab at Govt. KM HSS under the LESDE Department and installation of greenboards under Samagra Shiksha.

As part of today’s initiative, the Minister donated:

• One computer set with colour printer to Govt. Middle School, Dawrpui Vengthar
• One computer set to Govt. Middle School, Vaivakawn
• One computer set with colour printer to Govt. Middle School, Kanan

Earlier, he had also provided volleyballs, volleyball nets, and a water cooler to Govt. KM HSS, Dawrpui Vengthar.

The Minister further encouraged schools to organize study tours and excursions, assuring that teachers would continue contributing financially, and he would strive to supplement these efforts with additional support.
