Amit Shah Meets and Felicitates Brave Personnel of CRPF, Chhattisgarh Police, DRG, and CoBRA.
Raipur, Sept 2025 : Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah met and honored the personnel of the CRPF, Chhattisgarh Police, District Reserve Guard (DRG), and CoBRA who successfully carried out ‘Operation Black Forest’ on Karreguttalu Hill — the largest-ever anti-Naxal operation conducted to date. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai and Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma were also present on the occasion in New Delhi.
Shri Shah congratulated the brave personnel of all security forces for their courage and gallantry in making the operation a resounding success. He said that the valor and sacrifice displayed by the forces during Operation Black Forest would be remembered as a golden chapter in the history of India’s anti-Naxal campaign.
Reaffirming the government’s commitment, the Union Minister declared, “The Modi government will not rest until every Naxalite has either surrendered, been captured, or eliminated. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we are determined to make India free of Naxalism.”
Despite scorching heat, treacherous terrain, and the constant threat of IEDs, the forces displayed indomitable spirit, dismantling the Naxal base camp at Karreguttalu Hill. They also destroyed the Naxal material dump and disrupted their supply chain, dealing a major blow to insurgent operations.
Highlighting the devastating impact of Naxalism, Shri Shah said it had hindered development in some of the country’s least developed regions by shutting down schools, hospitals, and obstructing government welfare schemes. He emphasized that anti-Naxal operations have brought a new dawn to the lives of nearly 65 million people from Pashupatinath to Tirupati.
The Union Minister also assured that the Modi government is making every possible effort to support the lives of security personnel who suffer serious physical injuries in anti-Naxal campaigns. He concluded with a firm resolve: “Our goal is to make India completely free from Naxalism by March 31, 2026.”
