Indian Foreign Service Officers Call on Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde

Mumbai, Sept 2025 : Maharashtra will play a major role in achieving the target of making India a $5 trillion economy. With key infrastructure projects such as Atal Setu, Coastal Road, Samruddhi Expressway, and the Metro network, Maharashtra is moving rapidly on the highway of development, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said here today.
As part of their training program, a delegation of Indian Foreign Service officers visited Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde at his official residence, Muktagiriniwas. During the interaction, the Deputy CM briefed them about various developmental initiatives and ambitious schemes being undertaken in the state.
On this occasion, Industries Minister Uday Samant, Principal Secretary to the Deputy CM Navin Sona, IFS officers Yojana Patel, Pratibha Parkar-Rajaram, Paramita Tripathi, Ankan Banerjee, Smita Pant, Bishwadeep Dey, and C. Sugandh Rajaram, along with Yashada Deputy Director Trigun Kulkarni, who coordinated the visit, were present.
Deputy CM Shinde said that Maharashtra is the country’s “growth center.” With the creation of a strong network of infrastructure, the state’s industrial expansion is progressing at a large scale. Maharashtra ranks first in foreign direct investment, he added, emphasizing that world-class projects such as Atal Setu, Coastal Road, and Samruddhi Expressway are accelerating the state’s journey on the path of development.
Highlighting the state’s achievements, the Deputy CM noted that Maharashtra has made significant progress in health, education, women empowerment, tourism development, and housing. He added that by building affordable homes in Mumbai, the government is fulfilling the dream of home ownership for common citizens.
Shinde also shared an inspiring example from Nashik district, mentioning the school in the winter village of Trimbakeshwar, praising its students and teachers. He urged the visiting delegation to make it a point to visit this school.
