CM Bhajanlal Sharma Highlights Importance of Cow Protection During Deeg Visit

Jaipur, Sept 2025 : Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said that in Sanatan culture, Gau Mata (the holy cow) holds a special place and is considered a divine symbol. He added that his government has taken concrete steps for cow protection and promotion, increasing the subsidy for registered cow shelters to ₹50 per cow per day and ₹25 per calf per day.

Sharma was addressing the Shri Krishna Balaram Gau-Aradhan Mahotsav at Shri Jadkhor Gaudham in Guhana, Deeg district, on Sunday. He informed that in the 2025–26 state budget, a provision has also been made to provide ₹30,000 annually to small and marginal farmers who use bullocks for farming.

Revival of Sanatan Culture under PM Modi’s Vision

The Chief Minister said that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resolve, Sanatan culture is being revived across the country. The construction of the grand Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya, the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, and the Mahakal Corridor are strengthening India’s cultural heritage. In the same spirit, the state government has made provisions for the development of prominent religious sites such as Khatu Shyamji Temple and Poonchari Ka Lotha. Efforts are also underway to develop places associated with the life of Lord Krishna as part of the Shri Krishna Gaman Path.

Saints as Guides of Culture

Sharma underlined the role of saints and spiritual leaders in preserving culture. He said the Shrimad Bhagavatam is the living form of Lord Krishna and serves as a guide for life, granting happiness, peace, and contentment through its teachings. He urged everyone to pledge themselves to preserving culture and serving cows, assuring that the state government is committed to carrying forward the glorious Sanatan traditions.

Earlier, the Chief Minister, along with his wife, offered prayers at Shri Jadkhor Gosht Bihari Temple and performed Gau-Poojan (cow worship) at Kamdhenu Gaushala by feeding jaggery and green fodder to the cows. He also listened to the Bhagavat Katha discourse delivered by Param Pujya Swami Shrirajendras Das Devacharyaji Maharaj.

Minister of State for Home Jawahar Singh Bedham, MLA Nauksham Chaudhary, several saints, and a large number of devotees were present on the occasion.
