CM Dr. Yadav Meets Assam Chief Minister Dr. Sarma
During his two-day visit to Assam, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav paid a courtesy call on Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma at the Chief Minister’s residence in Guwahati on Sunday evening. Dr. Sarma welcomed Chief Minister Dr. Yadav with a bouquet and memento, while Dr. Yadav presented him with an attractive picture of the Mahakaleshwar Temple.
During the meeting, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that efforts will be made to launch a direct flight service between Bhopal and Guwahati in the future to boost tourism and trade activities. He stated that cultural ties between the two states will be further strengthened through enhanced cooperation among youth, artists, and universities. CM Dr. Yadav mentioned that Assam and Madhya Pradesh will jointly promote handicrafts, silk and bamboo-based products, and traditional trade cooperation. This initiative will open new markets and employment opportunities for local artisans and entrepreneurs in both states.
Chief Ministers Dr. Yadav and Dr. Sarma held a meaningful discussion on the historical ties between the two states, ongoing efforts for wildlife conservation, mutual exchange of wildlife, future possibilities, and various other subjects. Dr. Yadav informed Dr. Sarma that many industrialists and investors from Assam are keen to invest in Madhya Pradesh, and they will be warmly welcomed in the state.
