Aam Aadmi Party National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal’s Promise — Goa Will Be Freed from Fear and Corruption
Goa, Oct, 2025: The condition of Goa’s roads is heartbreaking. Every street and neighbourhood is filled with potholes, broken roads, and muddy lanes during the rains — this is the reality of 13 years of BJP rule. Every year, thousands of crores are passed in the budget, yet the roads remain in ruins. Where does all that money go?
To demand answers, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) launched a massive signature campaign. Out of Goa’s 3.5 lakh families, one lakh families participated, writing letters to the Chief Minister demanding immediate road repairs. On Monday, a truck filled with these letters was delivered to the Chief Minister’s office. This is not an ordinary protest — it is the collective voice of Goans who refuse to stay silent any longer.
Corruption runs so deep that even the roads that are repaired break down again within days. People have been deceived by false promises and incomplete projects, but now the public is aware and alert. In Punjab, the AAP government has built more than 18,000 kilometres of roads across villages. There, a strict rule ensures that if a road is damaged within five years, the contractor must repair it at their own expense. That is what a responsible government looks like.
Goa is a wealthy state, yet people still rely on water tankers for drinking water. Despite having only two MLAs, AAP volunteers are collecting donations to open Mohalla Clinics. Meanwhile, the BJP, with thousands of crores at its disposal, has failed to build hospitals, improve schools, or fix roads. Because the BJP cares not for the people — only for power and money.
Today, the people of Goa are living in fear. Crime is rising, corruption is at its peak, and anyone who questions the government faces threats or violence. Social activist Rama Kankankar was attacked simply for criticising the government. AAP protested on the streets against this injustice. When BJP goons attacked AAP volunteers during the signature campaign, even more citizens joined the movement the next day — showing that the people are no longer afraid.
Party workers across North and South Goa are going door to door, spreading the truth among citizens. Despite BJP’s intimidation tactics, they continue to stand firmly with the people. That is the real strength — the power of standing with the public. Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party believe in politics of honest work, not false promises. The party’s politics aims to eliminate fear and empower the people. The growing crowds at AAP’s rallies clearly show one thing — Goa is ready for change.
