Khawzawl KVK and HIL (India) Limited Organize Training Programme at Tualpui Village

Khawzawl, Oct 2025: The Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Khawzawl, in collaboration with HIL (India) Limited, New Delhi, organized a training programme at Tualpui village on the theme “Safe and Judicious Use of Pesticides & Promotion of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Practices and Promoting Eco-Friendly Crop Protection Solutions to Reduce Highly Hazardous Pesticides (HHPs).”

The training was chaired by Dr. Malsawmkimi, Senior Scientist & Head, KVK Khawzawl. Pi Lallawmzuali, District Agriculture Officer, Khawzawl, attended as the guest of honour, while Pu Anil Yadav, Additional General Manager (Marketing), HIL (India) Limited, New Delhi, graced the event as a special guest.

During the programme, Pu Rambuatsaiha, SMS (Agronomy), and Dr. Lalngaihawmi, SMS (Plant Protection), from KVK Khawzawl, along with representatives from HIL (India) Limited, delivered detailed PowerPoint presentations to farmers on pesticide safety, integrated pest management, and eco-friendly farming techniques.

A total of 230 farmers participated in the training, and each participant was provided with a safety kit as part of the programme.
