Technical Sessions Continue Amid Exhibition on New Criminal Laws; Jodhpur Police and NGO Members

Deliberate on Victim-Centric Provisions – IG Vigilance Prafull Kumar Provides Guidance

Jaipur, Oct 2025:Technical sessions are ongoing at the JECC, Jaipur headquarters, as part of the ongoing exhibition on new criminal laws.

To understand the effective implementation of the new laws and the roles of various stakeholders, an important panel discussion was held on Friday, October 17. The session saw participation from police officials of Jodhpur Commissionerate and members of various non-governmental organizations (NGOs).

Focus on Citizen- and Victim-Centric Provisions

During the session, Inspector General of Police (Vigilance), Rajasthan, Mr. Prafull Kumar, discussed the key legal provisions of the new laws with participants. The discussion primarily focused on citizen-centric and victim-centric provisions, as well as important changes in police procedures.

IG Kumar engaged in an in-depth dialogue, addressing participants’ questions and thereby fostering a better understanding of legal provisions and cooperation between police and NGO members.

The session was attended by around 80 participants, including police officers from constable to Additional Superintendent of Police levels, along with NGO representatives. This initiative aims to help police adapt their practices to the new legal framework and strengthen coordination with stakeholders like NGOs to ensure justice for victims.
