Sanatan Culture Teaches Us to Stay Forever Connected with Nature: CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav performed Govardhan Puja at Gaushala of Tilkeshwar Mahadev Temple in Ujjain on Tuesday. He also worshipped the sacred Gau Mata and participated in the grand GauAnnkoot celebration.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that in reverence to Gau Seva and respect for nature, Govardhan Pooja is being organised in every village and every household of the State today. Our Sanatan culture has always taught us to stay connected with nature. Gau Mata, along with her calves, nurtures and protects all of us. Lord Shri Krishna, also known as Gopal Krishna, symbolises this sacred bond. At present, the government and the people together are celebrating all festivals with enthusiasm and joy. Govardhan Pooja is traditionally observed on the day following Diwali.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that India is a nation of farmers and Gaupalks. In the true sense, Diwali holds meaning for all of us only when our farmers and our cattle prosper. This is when real prosperity arrives. The government has increased the grant amount for the care of every cow in cowsheds. Those engaged in milk production will also receive financial assistance from the government. Efforts will be made to ensure that every household becomes self-reliant in cattle rearing.

To expand irrigation coverage, the Madhya Pradesh government has launched the River Linking Campaign. Under the Surya GharYojana, farmers installing solar pumps will be given up to 90 percent subsidy.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav further said that the government has introduced the Bhavantar Payment Scheme for soybean, which will serve as a bridge between farmers and traders. This will enhance the credibility of grain markets and increase the respect accorded to farmers. He stated that several initiatives are being undertaken for the welfare of farmers and agricultural traders. Subsidies will also be provided for setting up processing units alongside crop production. Farmers and market traders should work together in food processing. A Food Park will be established in the Malwa region, enabling farmers to sell their produce at better prices and allowing traders to conduct business with confidence. The Chief Minister emphasised that the government is consistently working to promote the “Vocal for Local” initiative. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav extended greetings to everyone on the occasion of Govardhan Puja. He also performed the ritual worship and abhishek of Lord Tilkeshwar Mahadev, praying for the progress and well-being of the people of the state.

On this occasion, MLA Shri Anil Jain Kalukheda, Shri Chintamani Malviya, Municipal Corporation Sabhapati Smt. Kalavati Yadav, Shri Sanjay Agarwal, Shri Manish Tallera, Shri Narayan Yadav, Shri Ravi Solanki, ADG Shri Umesh Joga, Collector Shri Roshan Kumar Singh, Superintendent of Police Shri Pradeep Sharma, Municipal Commissioner Shri Abhilash Mishra and other citizens were present.

At the event, Mandi Traders Association President Shri Jitendra Agarwal delivered the welcome address, commending the Chief Minister for continually working in the interest of farmers and traders. The association honored Chief Minister Dr. Yadav by presenting a memento and a statue of Gau Mata. Shri Jagdish Panchal conducted and proposed the vote of thanks for the ceremony.
