Development in Nalwa accelerates threefold compared to Congress Regime – Chief Minister

Chandigarh, Oct 2025 – Haryana Chief Minister Sh Nayab Singh Saini said that the pace of development in the Nalwa region has accelerated threefold compared to the Congress regime. While the current government has completed development projects worth Rs 1,168 crore in the Nalwa Assembly constituency since 2014, only Rs 377 crore was spent during the Congress government’s 10-year tenure. The Chief Minister highlighted that a total of 120 announcements were made for the Nalwa constituency over the past 11 years, of which 97 have been completed and work on 7 is progressing rapidly.

The Chief Minister was addressing the people at a public meeting held in Nalwa, Hisar today.

He said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi, the Haryana government is continuously driving development, following the mantra of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas.” He added that 48 of the 217 Sankalps made to the public before the elections have been fulfilled in just one year, with 90 more expected to be completed by year-end. For Hisar district specifically, five major Sankalps have been made, including the establishment of an industrial cluster, the expansion of Hisar Airport as an international cargo hub, the construction of a ceramic park, the creation of a guava processing and packaging plant, and a new 800 MW thermal power plant, all of which the state government is rapidly pursuing.

Taking a dig at the Congress, the Chief Minister said that during their 10-year tenure, only Rs 1,155 crore was released to farmers as crop loss compensation. In contrast, the current BJP government has transferred Rs 15,465 crore to farmers’ accounts for crop loss compensation during its tenure.

Referring to the Haryana government’s decision to fix the sugarcane support price at Rs. 415 per quintal, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini emphasized that farmers’ welfare remains at the core of the current government’s policies. He stated that all crops in the state are now being purchased at the minimum support price. He informed that, so far, Rs1,48,000 crore has been transferred to the accounts of 12 lakh farmers as crop purchase payments. He also highlighted that farmers have been provided relief through the abolition of the Abiana system, a legacy from the British Raj. Further, Chief Minister pointed out that Haryana now offers the highest social security pension in the country, recently increased from Rs 3,000 to Rs3,200 per month. Additionally, the “Deendayal Lado Laxmi Yojana” has been launched, under which poor women will receive monthly financial assistance of Rs 2,100 starting November 1.

Referring to the current government’s development and welfare initiatives, Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi has pledged to make India a developed nation by 2047. To achieve this goal, the Prime Minister has emphasized the importance of ‘Vocal for Local’ and ‘Make in India’, while strengthening the economy through GST reforms.

The Chief Minister also highlighted the inauguration of Maharaja Agrasen Airport in Hisar, a Rs 1,700 crore project that connects the district to the world, with air services to various cities already operational. He also provided a detailed account of the development work undertaken in Hisar district and the Nalwa Assembly constituency.

On the occasion, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for three new development projects totaling approximately Rs 22 crore. These include the inauguration of the Welcome Gate at a cost of Rs 4.47 crore, and foundation stone for Munshi Prem Chand Library at Rs 17.21 crore, and for the road-strengthening project from Mulkan to Syaharwa.

Former MP Kuldeep Bishnoi described the event as historic, praising Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini’s working style as highly impressive and his direct communication with the people. He stated that the Chief Minister is fulfilling all his election promises with a visionary approach. He added that Nayab Singh Saini has effectively rendered the opposition inactive as they had no issue. He recalled the corruption of the Congress Party, saying that the public cannot forget it. Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party is continuously working towards eliminating corruption. He also appealed to the people to support Prime Minister Narendra Modi in building a developed India, while strengthening Chief Minister Saini’s efforts to build a developed Haryana.

Earlier, State Public Works and Public Health Engineering Minister Ranbir Singh Gangwa highlighted his family ties to the Nalwa region, adding that the people have always supported him politically. Supporting MLA Randhir Panihar’s demand letter, he stated that Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will make several special announcements for the people of the Nalwa constituency.

Randhir Panihar, coordinator of the rally and MLA from Nalwa, welcomed Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, and stated that the government in Haryana has been formed for the third time under his leadership. Recalling his work with former Chief Minister Ch Bhajan Lal, he said he now sees Ch Bhajan Lal’s style of governance and public service reflected in Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. He also expressed confidence that the Chief Minister would fulfill the demand letter submitted by the people of the Nalwa constituency. On this occasion, he also submitted a memorandum of demands on behalf of the constituency’s people.

On this occasion, MLA Savitri Jindal, former minister Captain Abhimanyu, former minister Dr. Kamal Gupta, former minister Anoop Dhanak, Hisar Mayor Praveen Popli, former MLA Dudaram, Jogi Ram Sihag and other dignitaries were also present.
