Naidu and Lokesh to Attend Nitish Kumar’s Swearing-In Ceremony in Patna on Thursday

Amaravati, Nov 2025 : Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and the state’s Minister for Information Technology, Human Resources Development and Real Time Governance, Nara Lokesh, will travel to Patna on Thursday to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Bihar Chief Minister-designate Nitish Kumar.

According to an official statement, the invitation extended to the Andhra Pradesh leadership follows the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) emphatic victory in the recently concluded Bihar Assembly elections. Their visit, it noted, underscores the strong political rapport within the NDA and highlights the spirit of cooperation that continues to guide relations between the Centre and NDA-ruled states.

The Andhra Pradesh delegation will take off from the Undavalli Helipad in Guntur district at 8 a.m. and is expected to reach Gandhi Maidan in Patna by 10:20 a.m., where the oath-taking ceremony is scheduled to take place. The delegation will depart from Patna at 12:30 p.m., with the Chief Minister slated to return to the Undavalli Helipad by 2:55 p.m., completing the brief but significant visit.

Reacting to the NDA’s sweeping victory in Bihar, Chief Minister Naidu said the mandate reflects people’s sustained trust in the alliance’s ability to deliver progressive and stable governance. He added that the results also reaffirm faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of building a Viksit Bharat (Developed India).

Naidu, who also heads the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), personally spoke to Nitish Kumar after the results and congratulated him on the NDA’s “massive and unprecedented” win. In a post on X, he noted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the NDA continues to remain a powerful force for national development.

The Chief Minister also expressed satisfaction that the people of Bihar have once again placed their trust in the “double-engine sarkar,” saying that such political stability is crucial for the welfare and growth of the state.

Nara Lokesh, who is Naidu’s son and a key TDP leader, had actively participated in the NDA’s election campaign in Bihar. He appealed to the people of the state to grant another term to the alliance, stating that only a double-engine government—combining the strength of the Centre and the state—can ensure uninterrupted development.

With Naidu and Lokesh set to attend the ceremony, the event is expected to showcase strong inter-state camaraderie within the NDA and reinforce a shared agenda of governance and development.
