Five-Day Training Programme for PGT Teachers Concludes

Bhubaneswar, Nov 2025: The five-day training programme organised for Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs) of non govt. aided Higher Secondary Schools under the Directorate of Higher Secondary Education concluded today. PGT teachers of Political Science and Economics participated in this programme. A total of 90 PGT teachers attended the training.

On this occasion, Smt. Niyati Pattanaik, Director, DHSE joined the valedictory session and emphasised the need for teachers to enhance their professional skills to ensure the all-round development of students. She advised teachers to focus on creating a fear-free and stress-free learning environment for students.

Smt. Snigdha Mishra, joint director conducted the proceedings of the programme. Smt. Binita Senapati, Joint Director; Sri Jitendra Nayak, Deputy Director; and Dr. Umakanta Sethi, OIC, SAMS, were among the dignitaries present. Smt. C.H. Vijayalakshmi, Deputy director proposed the vote of thanks.

The five-day training programme focused primarily on the professional development and skill enhancement of PGT teachers. Sessions covered topics such as career awareness, professional growth of teachers, classroom management, group activities, and the framework of Aspirational Schools. Each day included five sessions, totalling 25 sessions, along with a local field visit. The programme concluded with feedback collection and distribution of certificates.
