Maharashtra: The Growth Engine of India – Chief Minister Eknath Shinde

Mumbai – Chief Minister Eknath Shinde emphasized that Maharashtra is the growth engine of the country. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Shinde highlighted the state’s pivotal role in driving the nation’s progress.

Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Council Dr. Neelam Gorhe, Skill Development, Entrepreneurship, and Employment Minister and Guardian Minister for Mumbai Suburbs Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Cooperation Minister Dilip Valse Patil, Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Protection Minister Chhagan Bhujbal, School Education Minister Deepak Kesarkar, Chief Secretary Sujata Saunik, Additional Chief Secretary of the Raj Etiquette Department Manisha Mhaiskar, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Iqbal Singh Chahal, Additional Chief Secretary of the Cultural Affairs Department Vikas Kharge, Additional Chief Secretary of the Finance Department OP Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary of the Energy Department Abha Shukla, Mumbai Municipal Commissioner Bhushan Gagrani, Director General of Police Rashmi Shukla, and Mumbai Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar, along with High Commissioners of various countries, were present at the event.

Chief Minister Shinde extended his best wishes on the 78th Independence Day, stating that Maharashtra leads the nation in foreign direct investment. He praised the state’s remarkable achievements across sectors such as agriculture, health, information technology, industry, education, and infrastructure. The state is working towards the goal of achieving a one trillion-dollar economy, and he called for collective efforts to reach this target. Highlighting the industry’s favorable environment and vast opportunities for growth, Chief Minister Shinde also acknowledged Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s global leadership. He expressed confidence that India will soon become the world’s third-largest economy under the Prime Minister’s leadership.
