Roads to Become the Foundation of Development

Minister Mrs. Laxmi Rajwarde Inaugurates Rs. 15.50 Crore Projects in Surajpur

Raipur, January 2026 : Women and Child Development Minister and Bhatgaon MLA, Mrs. Laxmi Rajwarde, participated in the inauguration and puja ceremony of three major road construction projects in Surajpur district, with a total cost of Rs. 15.50 crore. The commencement of these projects is expected to strengthen connectivity in rural areas and accelerate overall development in the district.

The minister began the proceedings with the foundation-laying ceremony of the Kasalgiri road construction project near the Panchayat Bhawan in her native village, Birpur. She then attended the inauguration of the Kenwtali-Sundarpur road construction project at the Kenwtali village square. Later, she participated in the foundation ceremony of the Gangauti-Shivpur road construction project in Shivpur village, Yadav Para.

On the occasion, Minister Rajwarde emphasized that strong roads are the cornerstone of rural development. She said that the construction of these roads would provide better connectivity for villagers, benefiting farmers, students, and the general public. Improved roads will also facilitate easier access to health services, education, and markets.

She added that the state government is committed to the holistic development of villages, the poor, and marginalized communities. Infrastructure development is being leveraged to strengthen the rural economy, which will, in turn, create new employment opportunities.

The program was attended by local representatives, administrative officials, Panchayat members, and a large number of villagers. Residents expressed their happiness over the commencement of the road projects and extended their gratitude to the state government for prioritizing rural development.
