Manjinder Singh Sirsa Slams Atishi, Calls AAP’s Forensic Report Misleading and Insult to Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji
“Hundreds of lies are being told to prove one lie as true, but the truth will not change. The so-called forensic investigation conducted without the original video, without IT experts, and without a voice sample is completely wrong and misleading,” : Manjinder Singh Sirsa
- “The same police that could not carry out a forensic examination of their own SP’s audio is now giving a forensic report in this case without the original video. This is the biggest contradiction.” : Hon’ble Minister Mr. Sirsa
- “The words spoken in the Assembly while honoring Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji are so objectionable that they cannot even be heard. This is not a matter of politics but an insult to morality and religion.”
New Delhi, January 2026:Hon’ble Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa today, during a press conference, strongly attacked Aam Aadmi Party, Delhi’s Leader of Opposition Atishi, and the Punjab Government, saying that the whole matter is an organized attempt to prove a lie as truth.
The minister said that AAP’s political character has always been based on lies, and Arvind Kejriwal has said every lie possible—“I will not take security, I will not take government housing, I will not take a car, I will not travel by air”—and then did all of these things. This is the reality of AAP’s politics. Continuing that tradition, now the offensive words used by Atishi inside the Delhi Assembly regarding Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji are being hidden under the pretext of a forensic report.
Questioning the real situation of the case
Mr. Sirsa clarified that this case is State vs Meta, not against the individuals whose social media accounts are being scrutinized. Yet, the Punjab Police submitted a list of several people’s Facebook, Instagram, and X (Twitter) accounts in court, but none of them were made a party to the case.
He questioned that if the intention was to reveal the truth, why were the accused individuals not made parties?
Serious objection to forensic investigation
The minister said that the so-called forensic investigation used to mislead the court:
- Was conducted without the original Assembly video,
- Without summoning Atishi,
- Without taking her voice sample,
- And without any IT or cyber forensic expert, rather it was prepared by a constable using an AI tool.
He said the report does not clarify which part of the video, from which second to which second, was tampered with. Simply saying “the video is doctored” is not forensic work, but story writing.
Double standards: Questioning the police’s role
The minister gave an example: when the High Court ordered a forensic examination of an SP’s viral audio from Patiala, the police told the court they could not conduct it because no audio sample was available.
But the same police completed the forensic examination of the Assembly video without any sample or original video.
Opposition leader Atishi’s silence and political protection
Using the police to protect Atishi is extremely shameful. The same police who are supposed to maintain law and order in the state are busy investigating social media accounts. The Punjab government itself is fighting the case to protect Atishi. The insult to Guru Sahib that Atishi committed inside the Assembly cannot be condemned enough.
Mr. Sirsa said that since the incident, Atishi has not appeared publicly, nor in the Assembly, nor clarified her statement. That the police filed an FIR before the independent forensic investigation proposed by the Assembly Speaker shows fear of the truth coming out.
Hurt to religious sentiments
The minister, in an emotional tone, said that the words spoken during the honor of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji are a serious religious offense beyond political controversy. He said that he himself bows daily in the Gurudwara and respects Guru’s dignity, while AAP is mocking the entire issue and hurting religious sentiments.
Mr. Sirsa said that whether hundreds or thousands of lies are told to prove one lie true, the truth will not change. He said that neither Atishi nor Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will ever be free from this sin.
