CM Devendra Fadnavis Leaves for Davos to Attend World Economic Forum 2026

Mumbai, Jan 2026 : Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has departed for Davos, Switzerland, to participate in the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2026, with the aim of accelerating Maharashtra’s journey towards becoming a USD 1 trillion economy. Industries Minister Uday Samant and senior state government officials are accompanying the Chief Minister to the global summit.

Through the ‘Magnetic Maharashtra’ initiative, the state is seeking to further strengthen India’s image as a global engine of growth. Emphasising Maharashtra’s emergence as a new “mega-growth” story, Chief Minister Fadnavis said the world is watching the state’s development trajectory with great expectations. He noted that WEF 2026 would play a crucial role in fast-tracking Maharashtra’s progress towards the USD 1 trillion economy milestone.

The Chief Minister recalled that Maharashtra had signed investment agreements worth Rs 16 lakh crore last year and said the state government has set its sights on attracting even higher investments this year.

During the Davos summit, the Maharashtra delegation will hold discussions with global industry leaders, investors and policymakers, with a strong focus on boosting foreign direct investment (FDI), industrial projects, job creation and overall economic development in the state.
