Yogi Government to Promote AI Innovation Through AI-Led Innovation and Capacity Building Conference

Lucknow, January 2026 :The Yogi government is set to promote AI-based innovation and future skills in the state by organising the AI-Led Innovation and Capacity Building Conference. The conference will be held on January 20 at Hotel Centrum under the aegis of the Centre for e-Governance, Department of IT and Electronics. The event will focus on deliberations around artificial intelligence, digital skills, future skills, capacity building and employment-oriented competencies.

Participation of Global Technology Leaders

Principal Secretary, IT and Electronics, Anurag Yadav stated that the objective of the conference is to encourage AI-driven innovation in the state, strengthen the digital capabilities of youth and government officials, and reinforce collaboration between industry, government and academic institutions. Representatives from leading national and global technology companies and institutions will share their experiences, best practices and innovative solutions during the event.

The first session of the conference will feature a presentation on the Government of India’s Bhashini platform, highlighting the role of language technology in multilingual digital empowerment and citizen service delivery. This will be followed by presentations from global companies such as Microsoft, TCS, HCL, Google, Wadhwani Foundation and Intel, who will present their perspectives and case studies on AI, skill development, digital ecosystems and the creation of industry-ready talent.

MoUs to Be Signed with Leading Companies

Special Secretary, IT and Electronics, Neha Jain informed that the afternoon session will highlight the state’s IT policy, startup ecosystem and emerging opportunities for youth. A key highlight of the programme will be a presentation on NASSCOM’s Future Skills Prime programme and the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Centre for e-Governance and NASSCOM. This partnership is expected to play a significant role in training youth in emerging technologies, developing industry-relevant skills and creating new employment opportunities in the state.

In addition, organisations such as NVIDIA, Red Hat, 1M1B (One Million for One Billion) Foundation, Sify Technologies and Coursera will make presentations on AI, cloud technologies, open-source platforms, digital learning and global skill ecosystems. In the concluding session, the Department of IT and Electronics will present the AI Pragya initiative, a major step towards enhancing AI literacy and capacity building across the state.
