Major Activities on Day-1 in Davos

On the first day of the World Economic Forum 2026 in Davos, Madhya Pradesh made a strong and visible presence on the global agenda of investment, innovation, and sustainable development. The state government delegation held in-depth interactions with global companies and institutions across technology, renewable energy, AI, IT, agri-food, tourism and industry sectors, presenting Madhya Pradesh as an emerging, reliable, and future-ready investment destination. The first day at Davos proved to be a gateway to new opportunities for investment, collaboration, and global partnerships for the state.

Discussion with Shiru on AI-based Protein Innovation

  • During WEF–2026, the Government of Madhya Pradesh held discussions with Shiru, a global leader in AI-driven protein innovation.
  • Principal Secretary, Industrial Policy & Investment Promotion, Shri Raghvendra Kumar Singh, held detailed talks with Shiru’s CEO and Founder, Dr. Jasmine Hume.
  • Discussions focused on AI-enabled protein innovation, agriculture-based inputs, and applied research.
  • Shiru shared insights into its AI-based protein discovery and design platform that develops industry-ready, high-quality protein ingredients.
  • Nearly 77% of the company’s portfolio comprises natural proteins.
  • The company highlighted its strengths in technology licensing and scalable, capital-efficient production models.
  • Extensive discussions were held on the applications of AI-based proteins in the food, cosmetics and health sectors.

  • The state highlighted its phased, practical AI strategy, affordable power infrastructure, and start-up ecosystem.
  • NATRAX was presented as a unique asset for advanced mobility and AI-based testing.

Meeting with Green Energy-3000

  • Discussions were held with Green Energy 3000, a German-based company.
  • The company expressed interest in renewable energy projects and shared details of its EPC, project financing, and equity investment capabilities.
  • Future participation in upcoming tenders and technical discussions was agreed upon.

Further Course of Action – Green Energy 3000

  • Additional Chief Secretary, New & Renewable Energy, Shri Manu Shrivastava, shared details of the recently concluded tenders in Madhya Pradesh.
  • Opportunities for the company’s potential participation in upcoming tenders were discussed.
  • Both sides agreed to take forward technical discussions on project structures and bidding processes.
  • The meeting reflects the state’s efforts to accelerate investment in clean energy projects.

Meeting with Peace Invest

  • Minister Shri Shukla met Shri Yusuf Merchant, Chief Investment Officer of Geneva-based Peace Invest.
  • The meeting featured detailed discussions on sustainability-driven investments in the water and energy sectors.
  • Peace Invest shared its approach to promoting human-centric development through impact investments across the Global South.
  • Minister Shri Shukla presented Madhya Pradesh’s achievements in renewable energy and highlighted investment opportunities in water–energy-based projects.
  • Possibilities of advancing clean energy and water management projects through co-investment models were explored.

  • A meeting was held with officials of JioStar on tourism branding.
  • Discussions focused on the global promotion of Madhya Pradesh’s tourism destinations through high-quality video and audio documentation.
  • A Consensus was reached on showcasing the state’s natural and cultural heritage on international platforms such as National Geographic.

Bloomberg Media

  • A meeting was held with Ms. Sunita Rajan, Managing Director of Bloomberg Media.
  • Discussions focused on connecting Madhya Pradesh with key national and international stakeholders from the business and policy ecosystem.
  • Possibilities of Madhya Pradesh’s representation at the proposed Bloomberg New Economy Forum, to be held in India in October, were also explored.
  • Detailed discussions on renewable energy projects were held with Shri Pradip Kumar Das, Chairman and Managing Director of the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency.
  • Deliberations covered implementation and financial support for solar, wind, bio-energy, and other renewable energy projects.
  • The role of IREDA in promoting clean and green energy in the state was discussed.
  • IREDA was briefed on Madhya Pradesh’s favourable policies, adequate land availability, and investor-friendly environment.
  • Both sides agreed to further strengthen cooperation and investment in the renewable energy sector.
  • Detailed discussions with the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency on financing solar, wind, and bio-energy projects.

Tech Mahindra

  • Discussions were held with Shri Harshul Asnani, Chairman of Tech Mahindra, on the company’s potential entry and expansion in Madhya Pradesh.
  • The discussions placed special focus on the expansion of IT and BPO operations in Tier 2 cities.
  • Skill development and employment generation through collaboration with educational and training institutions were also deliberated.
  • The state’s robust infrastructure, improved quality of life and skilled workforce were highlighted as key investment attractions.
  • Madhya Pradesh was described as a rapidly emerging state in IT and digital services.
  • Minister Shri Rakesh Shukla stated that Madhya Pradesh is fast emerging as a preferred investment destination due to progressive policies, stable governance, and abundant resources.
  • Such engagements, he added, will provide fresh momentum to sustainable development, green energy goals, and employment generation in the state.
