Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Aug 2026 : Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) convener Abhijeet Dipke on Friday alleged a lack of coordination between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), citing recent remarks by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on the Gen Z-led protests. Dipke urged BJP leaders to take note of Bhagwat’s position and refrain from branding protesting youngsters as anti-national.
Dipke’s comments came a day after Bhagwat, while interacting with Gen Z and Gen Alpha students in Mumbai, said young people participating in protests should not be labelled anti-national. The RSS chief maintained that the grievances of the protesting youth were genuine and stressed the importance of engaging with the younger generation rather than dismissing their concerns.
Speaking to reporters in his hometown, Dipke described Bhagwat’s remarks as significant, particularly his assertion that Gen Z protesters were not against the country.
“The most important statement made by Mohan Bhagwat ji during yesterday’s interaction was that Gen Z and youth should not be called anti-national. Those who are protesting have the right to do so, and their issues are genuine,” Dipke said.
He urged BJP leaders to pay heed to the RSS chief’s observations, particularly in view of the criticism faced by young protesters during the CJP’s earlier agitation at Jantar Mantar.
Referring to the protests, Dipke alleged that some BJP leaders had used strong language against the demonstrators. He claimed that BJP president Nitin Nabin had described the protesters as a “virus”, while then Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had allegedly referred to them as the “B team of terrorists”.
Dipke argued that BJP leaders should consider Bhagwat’s remarks seriously, describing the RSS chief as an important ideological guide for the BJP.
“If the BJP leaders are not listening to their mentor, then it is quite problematic,” Dipke said, adding that Bhagwat himself should consider speaking directly to BJP leaders on the issue.
He further alleged that the contrasting positions indicated differences between the BJP and the RSS.
“It seems there is no synchronisation between the BJP and the RSS as both are saying different things. There appears to be disagreements within the RSS and the BJP,” the CJP founder said.
During his interaction with young students on Thursday, Bhagwat said Gen Z protesters should not be considered anti-national, describing them as part of the country’s own younger generation. He also said he believed Gen Z and Gen Alpha were more honest than the present generation and that appeals based on patriotism and service could resonate strongly with them.
Meanwhile, Dipke said the CJP intended to function as a pressure group by bringing citizens together around issues affecting the country and its youth rather than political ideologies or party affiliations.
He said the experience of the Jantar Mantar protest had demonstrated that citizens could exert pressure on governments when they set aside ideological and political differences and united around common concerns.
“After the Jantar Mantar protest, one thing has become clear: when citizens of this country come together, rising above their ideologies and political differences, they can put pressure on the government,” Dipke said.
