Ladli Behna Beneficiaries in MP are Now Becoming Income Earners, Not Just Benefit Recipients : Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the Ladli Behna beneficiaries of Madhya Pradesh are becoming income earners rather than merely recipients of benefits. Women’s empowerment cannot be achieved through slogans alone, and the state government is working with firm resolve towards this goal.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, on Sunday, transferred more than ₹1,835 crore in incentive assistance through a single click into the bank accounts of more than 12.51 million Ladli Behna beneficiaries as the 40th instalment of the Ladli Behna Scheme. More than 113,000 Ladli Behnas from Agar-Malwa were also included. The Chief Minister also distributed benefits under various government schemes.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav gifted 50 development works worth more than ₹254 crore to Agar-Malwa district. These included Bhoomi Pujan of 33 development works costing ₹226 crore and inauguration of 17 development works costing around ₹28 crore. He performed Bhoomi Poojan for three road projects costing around ₹118 crore and a Government Law College to be constructed at a cost of more than ₹19 crore.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced that a large gaushala would be constructed in Agar and irrigation water would be provided to every farm in Agar-Malwa district. He said that a person’s outlook shapes the world around them. Strong resolve is essential for development, and the government is taking all necessary steps for the development of the state with this resolve. The Chief Minister said, “Whatever development promises we have made to citizens, we have fulfilled them. ‘True Promise, Firm Action’ has now become the hallmark of our government.”

Government to Provide Free Permanent Registration of Leasehold Rights to Leaseholders

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that September is dedicated to public service. Two major public service initiatives will commence in the state from September 17. He said that under the ‘Swamitva Adhikar Abhilekh Nispadan Yojana-2026’, the state government is taking a major step from September 17. More than 5 million leaseholders in the state possess leasehold rights but do not have these rights permanently registered. The government will provide them with free permanent registration of their leasehold rights. The registration charges for all these leasehold rights will be borne by the government from its own funds.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh is set to become the first state in the country to take such an innovative and revolutionary step.

‘State’s Own Sugam Bus Service’ to Begin from September 25

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the month-long ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’, from September 17 to October 17, will also begin in the state. The campaign will bring several new initiatives and benefits related to public service and public welfare to the people of the state. He said that during the campaign, ‘Chief Minister Sugam Parivahan Seva’ will be launched on September 25 (Anant Chaturdashi), marking the beginning of the ‘state’s own Sugam Bus Service’. These Sugam buses will reach villages, panchayats, towns, blocks, tehsils and all small and large cities across the state. Madhya Pradesh has a road network spanning 5 lakh km, and more than 15,000 buses will be operated across the state by 2030.

Light the ‘Blessing Lamp’

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that September 17 is the birthday of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Under the able leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi, India has emerged as one of the leading countries in the world. During his successful tenure so far, India is moving towards becoming the world’s third-largest economy.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav informed that 5.8 million ‘Blessing Lamps’ will be lit simultaneously across the state on September 17, the first day of the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’. He appealed to all Ladli Behna beneficiaries and beneficiaries of government schemes in the state to light a ‘Blessing Lamp’ at their homes and establishments at 7 pm on September 17 and present Prime Minister Shri Modi with this gift of blessings on his birthday.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav extended his greetings to the Ladli Behna beneficiaries on Teej and Ganesh Chaturthi and said that making women economically self-reliant is the government’s goal. “We will fulfil every promise made to our sisters with full commitment and dedication.” He said that no compromise would be made with the honour, dignity and safety of women.  The government is making all necessary arrangements to support women’s livelihoods, self-employment and economic self-reliance. Expressing happiness, the Chief Minister said that through the government’s efforts, women are now not merely receiving benefits but are creating opportunities for themselves and becoming income earners.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that more than 400,000 women in the state are now becoming entrepreneurs with financial and technical support from the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Department, along with their own entrepreneurial efforts.

Referring to the initiatives being undertaken in the state for the welfare of women, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the government is working with full commitment towards ensuring women’s dignity, safety and economic empowerment. He said that the Ladli Behna Scheme has become not merely a means of providing financial assistance but also a strong foundation for women’s confidence, self-respect and self-reliance.

The Chief Minister said that, along with economically empowering women through the scheme, effective efforts are being made to enable them to lead dignified and self-reliant lives. Wishing all the sisters a happy, safe and prosperous future, he said that the government stands with them at every step.

Minister for Scheduled Caste Welfare and District In-charge Minister Shri Nagar Singh Chauhan, MP Shri Mahendra Singh Solanki, MLAs Shri Madhav Singh and Smt. Madhu Gehlot, Zila Panchayat President Smt. Munnabai Chauhan, District President Shri Om Malviya, along with other public representatives, local officials and a large number of people were present at the ceremony.
