New Delhi, August 2026 : Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) on Monday announced that it will acquire MHP Management- und IT-Beratung GmbH, the management and IT consulting subsidiary of German luxury automaker Porsche, for an enterprise value of Rs 3,573.44 crore.
The acquisition will strengthen TCS’ presence in the automotive and industrial consulting space and expand its capabilities in artificial intelligence, digital transformation and software-defined mobility. The transaction is expected to be completed within three to four months, subject to regulatory approvals.
TCS said the acquisition will be carried out through one of its subsidiaries, which will purchase 100 per cent of MHP’s shares. MHP generated approximately €742 million in turnover in calendar year 2025 and has around 4,500 employees globally.
As part of the deal, TCS and Porsche will also enter into a five-year strategic partnership under which TCS will establish a dedicated AI Mobility Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Porsche. The centre will focus on developing and scaling artificial intelligence applications across the mobility value chain.
According to TCS, the CoE will work on industrialising AI use cases involving key technologies relevant to the automotive and mobility sectors. Its objective will be to transform AI concepts into secure, scalable and commercially viable solutions capable of improving operational efficiency, resilience and competitiveness.
MHP brings extensive experience in automotive and industrial consulting, with expertise spanning business transformation, artificial intelligence, SAP, manufacturing digitalisation and connected mobility. The company has also worked on complex transformation programmes for the automotive and industrial sectors.
TCS said MHP’s industry knowledge and consulting capabilities would complement its own global technology infrastructure, engineering expertise and experience in implementing large-scale digital solutions.
“As AI, software, and data redefine the automotive industry, this partnership brings together TCS’ capabilities in AI, engineering, technology and business transformation with MHP’s strong automotive consulting expertise,” TCS CEO and Managing Director K. Krithivasan said.
He added that the combined capabilities would help industrialise AI at scale for Porsche and accelerate innovation across its product and value chain, supporting the development of increasingly intelligent and software-driven mobility solutions.
The transaction comes at a time when the global automotive industry is undergoing a major transformation, with artificial intelligence, connected vehicles, cloud technologies and software increasingly becoming central to vehicle development and manufacturing.
Porsche CEO Dr. Michael Leiters said the combination of the automaker’s automotive expertise with TCS’ digital technology and AI capabilities would strengthen innovation, efficiency and competitiveness in an increasingly data- and software-driven mobility industry.
The partnership is expected to support Porsche in accelerating the adoption of AI across multiple functions, while giving TCS greater access to specialised automotive consulting capabilities and established relationships within the European mobility ecosystem.
With MHP’s established presence in Germany and expertise in automotive transformation, the acquisition is also expected to deepen TCS’ engagement with European industrial customers and strengthen its position in the rapidly evolving software-defined mobility market.
The deal, once completed, will mark another significant step in TCS’ strategy of combining technology, engineering and industry-specific consulting capabilities to help global businesses scale artificial intelligence and digital transformation initiatives.
