Jaipur, May 2026 : Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on Monday hailed the Bharatiya Janata Party’s victories in three Assemblies as a historic mandate, asserting that the results represent a strong public endorsement of stability, governance and the vision of a developed India.
Reacting to the election outcomes, Raje said the BJP’s success in West Bengal, Assam and Puducherry reflected a decisive and unambiguous choice made by voters. She emphasized that the mandate highlights people’s preference for trust and effective governance over what she described as uncertainty and rhetoric.
According to Raje, the results were not accidental but stemmed from years of sustained organisational effort, strong grassroots engagement and the enduring faith of citizens in the party’s ideology. She credited party workers for their dedication, noting that their contributions were central to achieving the electoral success.
Speaking specifically about West Bengal, Raje described the victory as the culmination of a long ideological journey rooted in the principles of leaders such as Syama Prasad Mookerjee, Durga Charan Banerjee and Debaprasad Ghosh. She said these leaders upheld the spirit of “Nation First,” which continues to guide the party’s approach. Highlighting the BJP’s evolution, she noted that its growth from the Bharatiya Jana Sangh to its current position reflects decades of perseverance and commitment.
At the national level, Raje attributed the party’s performance to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that his governance model has reshaped political expectations across the country. She said the guiding principle of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas” has moved beyond being a slogan to becoming a core framework for governance. In her view, the electorate—particularly the youth—now prioritises tangible results and accountability over mere promises.
Raje also extended her congratulations to key party leaders, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP National President Nitin Nabin, along with party workers across the three regions. She acknowledged their collective efforts in securing what she termed a landmark victory.
Describing the verdict as a reflection of the aspirations of the people, Raje said it signals continued public support for the BJP’s vision of a developed, self-reliant India.
