CM Hemant Soren Meets Kailash Satyarthi’s Associate Rakesh Sengar

Raipur, Jan 2026: Chief Minister Hemant Soren today met Rakesh Sengar, associate of Nobel Peace Laureate Kailash Satyarthi, at the Chief Minister’s residence. During the meeting, Sengar presented CM Soren with Satyarthi’s autobiography, his new book “Karuna: The Power of Compassion”, and the 2025-26 annual report of Bal Gram. He briefed the Chief Minister on the activities of the Bachpan Bachao Andolan in Jharkhand, including initiatives to protect children from exploitation and prevent child labor.

CM Soren appreciated the work being done for children’s welfare and rights and conveyed his regards to Kailash Satyarthi through a video call. The meeting underscored the government’s commitment to supporting child protection programs and strengthening ongoing initiatives for the well-being of children. Manoj Kumar was also present on the occasion.
