Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai to Announce Development Projects Worth Nearly ₹200 Crore at Sirpur Mahotsav

Raipur, January 2026 : On the occasion of the Sirpur Mahotsav to be held in the historic and cultural town of Sirpur, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai will attend the festival as the chief guest. On this occasion, the Chief Minister will present the district with a major development package. He will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for a total of 99 development works costing ₹199 crore 28 lakh 59 thousand.

Of these, 64 development works costing ₹40 crore 88 lakh 2 thousand will be inaugurated, while foundation stones will be laid for 35 development works with an estimated cost of ₹158 crore 40 lakh 57 thousand.

The works to be inaugurated include four development projects of the Rural Mechanical Services Department costing ₹98 lakh 80 thousand; 19 development works of the Panchayat and Rural Development Department costing ₹6 crore 64 lakh 20 thousand; one development work of the Tribal Development Department costing ₹1 crore 52 lakh 97 thousand; 26 development works of the Public Health Engineering Department costing ₹17 crore 95 lakh 86 thousand; and 14 development works of the Electricity Department costing ₹13 crore 76 lakh 19 thousand.

Similarly, under the foundation stone-laying programme, 22 development works of the Public Works Department costing ₹141 crore 19 lakh 19 thousand will be undertaken, along with three development works of the Water Resources Department costing ₹10 crore 32 lakh 72 thousand. In addition, eight development works of the Panchayat and Rural Development Department costing ₹2 crore 18 lakh 93 thousand and two development works of the Transport Department costing ₹4 crore 69 lakh 73 thousand will also be initiated.
