AISATS to Invest ₹4,458 Crore in Two Projects at Jewar Airport

Singapore/Lucknow, February 2026 : Uttar Pradesh received another major global investment boost on the second day of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s visit to Singapore. Under his leadership, the Uttar Pradesh government signed a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with leading aviation services company AISATS.

Under the agreement, AISATS will establish two major projects at the Noida International Airport in Jewar, Gautam Buddh Nagar district. The projects include a state-of-the-art cargo campus and a world-class air catering kitchen, with a total investment of approximately ₹4,458 crore.

Jewar Airport to Emerge as North India’s Cargo Hub

As per the MoU, AISATS will develop a modern, integrated cargo campus within the Jewar airport complex. This facility is expected to become a major air freight and logistics hub not only for Uttar Pradesh but for the entire northern region of India. The cargo campus will significantly enhance export–import activities, especially in key sectors such as electronics, pharmaceuticals, and agricultural produce.

The Noida International Airport is being developed with multi-modal connectivity, positioning it as a strategic gateway for international trade. The upcoming cargo campus is expected to leverage this connectivity, enabling faster movement of goods and strengthening India’s supply chain infrastructure. Officials believe this project will give a strong push to Uttar Pradesh’s ambition of becoming a logistics and export powerhouse.

World-Class Air Catering Kitchen to Be Set Up

The second major component of the MoU involves the establishment of a world-class air catering kitchen at the Noida International Airport. This advanced facility will provide high-quality in-flight meals for airlines operating from Jewar airport.

Notably, the food prepared at this catering kitchen will not be limited to flights from Jewar alone. It will also supply meals to multiple airports across North India, making it a centralized catering hub for the region. This initiative is expected to significantly strengthen the food processing ecosystem, cold-chain logistics, and supply chain networks in Uttar Pradesh.

The project will also generate thousands of direct and indirect employment opportunities, benefiting local communities and supporting skill development in aviation-linked services.

Strategic Importance of the Singapore Visit

The Chief Minister’s Singapore visit is aimed at showcasing Uttar Pradesh as a preferred destination for global investment. The MoU with AISATS on the second day of the visit is being seen as a major achievement for the state’s aviation, logistics, and services sectors.

With the operationalization of Jewar Airport, the cargo campus and air catering facilities are expected to reshape the economic landscape of North India. Together, these projects will enhance regional connectivity, boost trade and employment, and further strengthen Uttar Pradesh’s position on the global investment map.
