Chief Minister Inaugurates Niranjanbhai Jaydevshankar Thakar Vedic School
Nagpur, April 2026 : Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stated that the Vedas, regarded as the world’s most ancient literature, provide knowledge that promotes a prosperous and well-balanced way of life. He emphasized that while most global civilizations date back around 4,000 years, modern research suggests that the Vedas are over 12,000 years old.
He was speaking at the inauguration of the Niranjanbhai Jaydevshankar Thakar (NJT) Vedic School at Ghogli, which was inaugurated by him on Sunday evening. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and spiritual leader Govind Dev Giri Maharaj were also present on the occasion.
Fadnavis described the initiative of establishing a Vedic school as commendable, noting that it plays an important role in preserving and promoting India’s ancient traditions for future generations.
Speaking at the event, Nitin Gadkari said that the Vedas form the foundation of knowledge and science. He added that Sanatan Dharma promotes the welfare of the entire human race and described the Hindu way of life as one of the most ideal systems in the world.
Govind Dev Giri Maharaj highlighted the significance of the Vedas, calling them the original wealth of Indian civilization. He stated that the Vedas form the very foundation of Indian culture and that many of the world’s cultures and languages emerged after them. He emphasized that the Vedas are not limited to any one community but are meant for the welfare of all humanity.
Earlier, Rohan Thakar delivered the introductory remarks. Acharya Sagar Sharma and Narendra Jha, among others, were also present on the stage during the event.
