UP’s vision on sustainable mobility, logistics and modern infrastructure received appreciation at the national platform
Lucknow, April 2026 : Uttar Pradesh made a strong mark at the national level by presenting an impressive model of green, modern, and technology-driven transport at the Green Transport Conclave held in New Delhi.
Manoj Kumar Singh, CEO of the State Transformation Commission (STC), highlighted the state’s vision for sustainable mobility, a robust logistics network, and future-oriented infrastructure, stating that Uttar Pradesh is setting new benchmarks in green transport.
The two-day “Green Transport Conclave: Accelerating Towards the Future of Sustainable and Green Mobility”, organized by the Indian Federation of Green Energy, commenced in New Delhi on Tuesday. The conclave featured expert sessions on key areas such as automobiles, railways, marine, aviation, electric mobility, biofuels, long-distance freight transport, urban transport, smart mobility, and energy transition.
Uttar Pradesh’s development model, investment potential, and green transport approach were widely appreciated.
At the event, inaugurated by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, Manoj Kumar Singh presented Uttar Pradesh’s perspective on the future of green and sustainable transport before policymakers, industry representatives, transport experts, investors, and senior administrative officials from across the country.
He outlined a comprehensive framework for sustainable transport systems being developed in the state, including clean energy-based mobility, advanced logistics networks, and future-ready infrastructure.
He noted that under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh is emerging not only as the most populous state in the country but also as a major center of economic growth. For rapid and balanced development, he emphasized the need for a transport system that is green, safe, modern, and technology-driven.
He further stated that the state government is working in a planned manner to bring reforms in the transport sector, promote investment, encourage innovation, strengthen connectivity, and ensure environmental protection.
Uttar Pradesh has emerged as a leading state in expressway development, with projects such as the Purvanchal Expressway, Bundelkhand Expressway, Ganga Expressway, and Agra-Lucknow Expressway significantly improving connectivity. These projects have reduced travel time, saved fuel, boosted industrial investment, and enhanced freight efficiency.
Singh added that the government is promoting multi-modal connectivity, electric mobility, e-buses, charging infrastructure, and clean public transport. The state is also making rapid progress in ethanol, biogas, compressed biogas (CBG), and agricultural waste-based energy.
He highlighted that modern technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), smart traffic management, digital tolling, and real-time monitoring will shape the future of transport. Uttar Pradesh is committed to adopting these innovations to deliver better services to its citizens.
He concluded that green transport, efficient logistics, and sustainable infrastructure will play a crucial role in achieving the vision of “Developed Uttar Pradesh-2047” and the goal of a trillion-dollar economy.
