MSME Helpline Launched; Entrepreneurs to Receive Expert Guidance

Mumbai, June 2026: The Maharashtra government has launched a dedicated MSME Helpline under the Maharashtra RAMP (Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance) Programme to provide micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) with easy access to expert guidance, business information and professional advice required for growth and expansion. The service will offer completely free assistance to entrepreneurs across the state.

The initiative has been implemented through the Maharashtra Small Scale Industries Development Corporation (MSSIDC) under the RAMP programme, which is being carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MoMSME), Government of India, and the World Bank. The helpline service is being operated through the Maratha Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA).

Entrepreneurs from any part of Maharashtra can avail themselves of the facility by calling or sending a WhatsApp message to +91 8308809334. The helpline will provide expert guidance on a wide range of industry-related topics, information on government schemes, financial advice, market access opportunities and business development support.

The service will offer assistance for starting new businesses, Udyam Registration, GST registration and tax-related guidance, financial planning, loans and credit facilities, information on subsidy schemes, registration on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal, marketing and branding strategies, import-export business operations, project report preparation, adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital technologies, as well as detailed guidance on various Central and State Government schemes.

The helpline has been introduced in response to the challenge faced by many entrepreneurs who, despite the availability of numerous government schemes and facilities, often struggle to obtain timely information and expert advice. The initiative aims to address these gaps and support business growth by providing reliable and accessible assistance.

According to officials, the programme is expected to particularly benefit first-time entrepreneurs, women entrepreneurs, startups, rural enterprises, artisans, self-employment groups and business owners planning to expand their existing operations.

The MSME sector plays a crucial role in Maharashtra’s industrial and economic development. It contributes significantly to employment generation, increased production, export growth and strengthening local economies. Through the Maharashtra RAMP Programme, the state aims to enhance the competitiveness of MSMEs, improve market access, strengthen institutional capacities and promote sustainable industrial growth.

The Managing Director of MSSIDC has appealed to all MSMEs, startups, women entrepreneurs, artisans, self-help groups and aspiring entrepreneurs across Maharashtra to make maximum use of the helpline services.

Entrepreneurs seeking support for starting a new venture, expanding their businesses, obtaining financial assistance, participating in government procurement processes, entering export markets or accessing government schemes have been encouraged to take advantage of this free service and expert guidance platform.
