Morning Session on Second Day of National e-Governance Conference Focuses on ‘Artificial Intelligence and Data Protection

Mumbai : The 27th National Conference on e-Governance was held on September 3, 2024, at the Jio Convention Centre in Mumbai. The second day began with a panel discussion on “Data Governance, Privacy, and Security in the Digital Age.” Key participants included Amit Agarwal, CEO of UIDAI; Paresh Shah, CEO of Global; Rishi Agarwal of 3i Infotech; Achyut Ghosh of Nasscom; and Amit Shukla, Managing Director of EasyGov.

The second session focused on the role of artificial intelligence in governance. During this session, insights were shared on how AI is being utilized in administrative functions. Speakers included Anjali Kaushik from IIT Gurgaon, I.M.M. Prashant Salwan from Indore (via teleconference), and Dr. Shailesh Kumar, who guided the discussion along with Prasad Unnikrishnan of Grant Thornton India.

In the third session, Lavnish Channa of SAP, Sapna Kapoor of NIC, Devroop Dhar, Managing Director of Premus, and Ramendra Verma of Grant Thornton India participated in discussions on AI implementation and related challenges.
