Union Steel and Heavy Industries Minister HD Kumaraswamy made a courtesy call on CM Sai
Union Minister of Steel and Heavy Industries Shri HD Kumaraswamy paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai at his residence here today. Chief Minister Shri Sai accorded a warm welcome to Union Minister Shri Kumaraswamy at his residence. The Chief Minister presented a shawl and a memento to Shri Kumaraswamy.
During an informal discussion with Union Minister Shri Kumaraswamy, Chief Minister Shri Sai discussed various issues related to increasing the production of SAIL and NMDC, and better coordination between both the undertakings and the state government. The Chief Minister said that both the undertakings SAIL and NMDC need to speed up the work under CSR. He said that more work should be done to upgrade the skills of local youth in Nagarnar region, so that the youth can get good employment opportunities.
It is noteworthy that Union Minister Shri Kumaraswamy, who was on a two-day visit to Chhattisgarh, reached the capital Raipur today after inspecting the Nagarnar Steel Plant and Bhilai Steel Plant in Bastar.
SAIL Chairman Shri Amarendu Prakash, NMDC CMD Shri Amitav Mukherjee, Chief Minister and Mineral Resources Department Secretary Shri P. Dayanand, Chief Minister’s Secretary Dr. Basavaraju S. and Shri Rahul Bhagat, Bhilai Steel Plant Director Shri Anirban Dasgupta were also present on the occasion.
